Position Summary
The Surgical Technician plays a vital role in the surgical team, responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care for surgical cases. This position requires effective communication with patients, families, and healthcare team members, ensuring a seamless delivery of care.
Position Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certification as a Surgical Technician or equivalent experience.
- BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
- Experience in patient care delivery preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of a sterile environment during surgical procedures.
- Collaborate with surgical team members to coordinate patient care effectively.
- Ensure timely availability of necessary equipment and supplies.
- Document patient care activities accurately and promptly.
- Support the orientation and training of new staff members.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to communicate effectively in English, stand for extended periods, and lift patients with assistance as needed.
