BALENCIAGA Inventory Control Supervisor

Overview

We are in search of an Inventory Control Supervisor who will report directly to the Store Director.

YOUR ROLE

The Inventory Control Supervisor is accountable for ensuring that all Head Office and Home Office responsibilities are executed efficiently and in line with Balenciaga's Operations Manual and Global Stockroom Standards. This role collaborates with store management to oversee and sustain store operations, stock management, budget adherence, and customer satisfaction.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure compliance with policies and procedures as outlined in Balenciaga's Operations Manual and Global Stockroom Standards.
  • Effectively manage daily shipping and receiving operations.
  • Identify and resolve inventory discrepancies.
  • Receive and process merchandise shipments.
  • Conduct monthly store reconciliations.

REPAIR MANAGEMENT

In locations with Customer Service Representatives, work closely on repair oversight, ensuring timely handling of repairs and appropriate communication of concerns. Manage weekly shipments of repairs and follow up as necessary.

INVENTORY MANAGEMENT

  • Conduct regular cycle counts.
  • Monitor and rectify negative inventory issues promptly to avoid discrepancies.
  • Maintain and organize the Head Office and Home Office; proactively address potential loss prevention and sales challenges.
  • Prepare and arrange for annual inventory in accordance with Kering guidelines.

SUPPLY AND COST CONTROL

Ensure that expenses align with the established budget. Maintain adequate supplies (e.g., shipping materials, stationery, packaging) at all times and reorder as necessary.

OPENING & CLOSING TASKS

Execute opening and closing procedures in accordance with Balenciaga and Kering guidelines.

FACILITIES MANAGEMENT

Coordinate with the corporate team on HVAC, electrical, lighting, plumbing, fire monitoring, elevator maintenance, pest control, and store planning updates.

REPORTING

Ensure timely submission of all required daily, weekly, and monthly reports (e.g., reconciliation, packaging).

SALES SUPPORT

Assist on the sales floor as needed and engage in additional projects as directed by management.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 6 years of operational experience in luxury retail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word Processing, as well as JDA.
  • Ability to adapt quickly in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong communication skills with a proven ability to engage with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Physical capability to lift and move bulk merchandise.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve results.
  • Exceptional organizational skills.
  • Strong commercial awareness and business acumen.
  • Proven talent for managing, coaching, and developing a team.
