LPN-HRPN Primary Care Specialist

We are seeking a skilled LPN-HRPN Primary Care professional to join our team at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center, Inc. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support services in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care and support services under the supervision of licensed nursing staff.
- Maintain and apply principles of safety to ensure a secure and healthy environment for patients.
- Recognize and escalate patient concerns to the appropriate authorities.
- Collaborate with other healthcare team members to deliver comprehensive patient care.
- Participate in outstanding customer service and maintain respectful relationships with patients, families, and colleagues.
- Perform vital sign monitoring, wound dressing, and basic procedures as needed.
- Administer IV therapy as required.
- Utilize patient-specific knowledge to provide culturally sensitive care.
- Observe and report patient physical, mental, and emotional changes to healthcare providers.
- Contribute to quality nursing care through evidence-based practices and positive outcomes.
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations regarding patient confidentiality.
- Conduct patient interviews to determine medical needs and document in patient charts.
- Record patient vital signs and weight.
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations as needed.
- Review physician orders, lab requests, and follow-up needs with patients.
- Document services performed on relevant forms.
- Dress wounds as instructed and apply compresses, ice, and heat packs.
- Report adverse reactions to medication or treatment to medical personnel.
- Administer medication orally or by injection and record on patient charts.
- Assemble and use clinic equipment.
- Collect patient samples for testing and perform routine laboratory tests.
- Sterilize equipment and supplies.
- Clean patient rooms and change linens.
- Maintain supplies, including ordering and stocking new supplies.
- Respond to patient inquiries and evaluate problems and questions.
- Follow up with patients who miss appointments.
- Follow up with patients on lab results and schedule additional tests as needed.
- Coordinate patient referrals through insurance and other healthcare providers.
- Graduate of an approved LPN program.
- Current licensure as an LPN in the State of Kansas.
- Healthcare Provider BLS certification.
