Job Summary

As a Software Development Engineer III at Thermo Fisher Scientific, you will work closely with our product development team to design and develop interactive scientific software solutions. Your primary responsibility will be to develop full stack web applications using the latest technologies and maintain and support existing software applications. Your role will also involve creating and implementing automated test frameworks and tools using best practices. Additionally, you will be responsible for building and running continuous deployment technologies to enable efficient implementation of developed and enhanced software. To be successful in this role, you must have a Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field of study plus 2 years of experience designing and developing interactive scientific or ecommerce web solutions or related experience. Employer will also accept a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field of study plus 5 years of experience designing and developing interactive scientific or ecommerce web solutions or related experience. Key skills required for this position include client-server functionality, web browser technology, and OOD and Java fundamental concepts and language, as well as experience with client-side web technologies, server-side languages, enterprise and web search concepts, and database management systems. Strong problem-solving, web application debugging, and troubleshooting skills are also essential. The ideal candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. They must also have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
