Per Diem Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner Opportunity

St. Josephs Health is seeking a highly skilled Per Diem Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) team.

This role provides a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with experienced Intensivists and APPs to deliver exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage a caseload of patients in the MICU, working closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, ensuring high-quality patient outcomes
  • Perform various procedures, including central line placements, arterial lines, and chest tube placements
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records, communicating effectively with the healthcare team
Requirements:
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner in an acute care setting
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and responsibilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong focus on teamwork and collaboration
