Diagnostic Radiologic Technician-Computed Tomography Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Radiologic Technician-Computed Tomography to join our team at the VA Cheyenne Health Care System. As a Diagnostic Radiologic Technician-Computed Tomography, you will be responsible for operating CT scanners, coordinating exams, and ensuring patient safety.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate CT scanners and coordinate exams to optimize scanner times
  • Explain exam procedures to patients, monitor vital signs, and recognize allergic reactions
  • Assess patients for contraindications for ordered procedures and access patient clinical records
  • Confer with Radiologists to determine appropriate protocols for non-standard exams
  • Prepare, label, and administer contrast agents according to signed orders
  • Maintain competency to insert IV catheters and use automated or manual injection techniques
  • Continuously monitor patients for adverse reactions to contrast materials
Requirements:
  • English Language Proficiency: Proficient in spoken and written English
  • Citizenship: Must be a citizen of the United States
  • Certification: Certified in general radiologic technology by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology, Radiography (ARRT) (R)
  • Education: Completion of a full-time training course of at least 24 months in duration in a post-high school diagnostic radiologic technology program
Work Schedule:

Full-time, Monday through Friday, 9am - 5:30pm
