Role Overview:

We are seeking a committed and results-oriented Continuous Improvement & Lean Manager for our Curtis Manufacturing Plant. In this essential position, you will spearhead initiatives aimed at optimizing operations, refining workflows, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement across our organization. Your proficiency in Lean methodologies will be vital in enhancing processes and delivering exceptional value to our customers, stakeholders, and team members. If you are dedicated to efficiency, excellence, and transformative change, this role is designed for you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enhance the maturity of Continuous Improvement and Lean principles across the Wilbur Curtis product range.
  • Assist in the development of the annual continuous improvement strategy and actively track progress, providing support and recommendations when targets are not met.
  • Engage in all site continuous improvement initiatives and lean workshops.
  • Foster team development within the framework of the LEAN system.
  • Advance the LEAN Guideline by implementing best practices.
  • Refine processes and procedures to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Act as a subject matter expert across the organization.
  • Participate in the network of LEAN managers focused on operational excellence.
  • Oversee local communication and events related to site operations.
  • Evaluate and ensure the effective application of appropriate tools, processes, and guidelines.
  • Manage manufacturing resources to meet production improvement objectives while adhering to Quality, Delivery, and Cost standards.
  • Establish and enhance processes and manufacturing resources, including routing and work instructions, to ensure optimal plant capacity.
  • Continuously improve industrial performance to achieve top SQCDI levels.
  • Maintain favorable working conditions for technical manufacturing resources to meet productivity goals.
  • Promote the prevention of professional and environmental risks.
  • Manage physical and information flows to meet production plan targets.
  • Ensure quality standards are met at every production stage, from procurement to delivery.
  • Organize and manage human resources to foster a positive social climate and meet production targets.

Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience in manufacturing and production of small electronics or operational excellence.
  • Familiarity with continuous improvement tools (5S, SMED, AMDEC, 5Why, etc.) and statistical methodologies.
  • Understanding of progress plan processes and procedures.
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement and lean tools.
  • Certification as Green Belt or Black Belt in Lean Six Sigma.
  • Strong statistical skills with proficiency in Excel.
  • Excellent presentation skills with proficiency in PowerPoint.
  • Ability to understand and exceed customer expectations.
  • Capability to lead and manage change effectively.
  • Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills to achieve consensus and shared objectives.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and influence cross-departmental teams.
  • Strong prioritization skills to maximize resource efficiency.

Physical Requirements:

  • Standing and walking for extended periods.
  • Manual dexterity required.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
