Maintenance Supervisor 3 Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Supervisor 3 to oversee the maintenance, repair, and construction activities at our facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of skilled trades, semiskilled, and unskilled positions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review maintenance requests to determine necessary materials, equipment, and staff
  • Plan and implement rehabilitation and construction projects
  • Develop and enforce a preventative maintenance program
  • Inspect work in progress and completed work to ensure regulatory and code compliance
  • Develop training programs for staff
Requirements:
  • 2 years of second-level supervisory experience in maintenance and operation of a physical plant, building construction, and/or building renovation and/or repair projects
  • Direct supervisory responsibility for workers who also supervised one or more workers
  • OR
  • Candidates from outside or within State Service can be considered for a competitive class appointment if they are reachable on the current Maintenance Supervisor 3 eligible list
  • OR
  • Candidates within State Service can be considered for transfer to a competitive class position if they have one year of permanent competitive or 55-b/55-c service in a title eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law
