Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Patient Care Technician to join our Emergency Department team at Intermountain Healthcare. As a Patient Care Technician, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, including vital sign monitoring, hygiene assistance, and specimen collection.
  • Assist with patient transfers, admissions, and discharges, ensuring safe patient handling and mobility.
  • Perform 12-lead EKG duties, wound care, and stoma care, as directed by the RN or physician.
  • Maintain patient charts, respond to phone calls, and provide accurate information about the patient to the interdisciplinary team.
  • Assist physicians and RNs as directed, promoting a collaborative and supportive work environment.
Requirements
  • Successful completion of an accredited nursing assistant training program.
  • Certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the state of practice.
  • Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS-HCP) certification.
