Key Responsibilities:

Overview:

SEACORP provides support to the Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) and is looking for adept validators to carry out Risk Management Framework (RMF) Security Assessment tasks across various programs.

Navy Qualified Validators will engage in Risk Management Framework (RMF) Assessment and Authorization (A&A) processes, which include but are not limited to:

Formulating Security Assessment Reports (SAP), crafting Executive Summaries for Security Assessment Reports (SAR), and collaborating with teams to evaluate security controls, pinpoint vulnerabilities, propose mitigation strategies, and monitor remediation efforts through Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms).

Contribute to the security team in strategizing, assessing, analyzing risks, and producing RMF documentation necessary for securing an authority to operate. This encompasses executing ACAS Scans, STIGs testing, and conducting site evaluations.

Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
Experience:

Current Navy Qualified Validator is highly preferred. Possession of Industry Certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CASP+) to meet DOD 8750 IAT II/III / IAM III requirements or DOD 8140 Specialty Area(s) is mandatory. Experience with eMASS, XACTA, and ACAS is essential. Proficiency in Linux is required, while knowledge of Web Servers is advantageous.
Expertise:

Familiarity with DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) and NIST SP standards. Understanding of system and application security threats and vulnerabilities. Proven experience in recommending mitigation strategies. Capability to conduct Security Assessments utilizing DISA STIGs and SRGs. Proficient in using Assured Compliance Assessment System (ACAS) and Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP). Experience with workflows involving Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS) and XACTA. Demonstrated understanding of Security Assessment Plans (SAP) and Security Assessment Reports (SAR).

Work Environment:

Office and Computer Laboratory settings - Involves sitting, standing, and extended periods of time using a mouse and keyboard while viewing computer screens.

Occasional lifting may be required.
