Once Upon a Childcare is seeking a dedicated Infant Education Specialist to enhance our educational offerings. In this role, you will design engaging lesson plans tailored for infants, foster strong relationships with families, maintain a clean and safe classroom environment, and provide regular updates to parents through daily communications. We are looking for enthusiastic individuals who can contribute to a nurturing and stimulating atmosphere for both children and their families.
Compensation: Starting pay is $19.00 per hour, commensurate with education and experience. Continuous pay increases are available based on adherence to program standards and performance metrics. We are committed to promoting and supporting the growth of our teaching staff, ensuring career advancement is accessible.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create engaging and age-appropriate lesson plans for infants aged 6 weeks to 18 months.
- Utilize diverse educational strategies (such as storytelling and interactive play) to facilitate learning.
- Monitor each child's development to enhance their social skills and self-esteem.
- Encourage peer interactions and assist in conflict resolution.
- Guide children in developing their artistic and practical skills through a well-structured curriculum (including identification of shapes, numbers, colors, and art).
- Document children's progress and communicate findings to parents.
- Engage with parents regularly to gain insights into their children's backgrounds and needs.
- Collaborate effectively with fellow educators.
- Ensure the classroom is maintained in accordance with health and safety regulations.
Qualifications:
- Experience in a licensed childcare setting.
- Completion of child development courses from an accredited institution and/or relevant certifications.
- Strong understanding of child development principles and preschool educational practices.
- Knowledge of safety and sanitation protocols for educational environments.
- Exceptional communication and teaching abilities.
- Capability to mediate conflicts among children.
- Friendly, reliable, and composed demeanor.
- Certification in child CPR or willingness to obtain certification.
