Robotics Engineering Design Specialist

As a skilled Mechanical Designer, you will play a vital part in developing innovative mechanical components for our game-changing robotic mowers. Your expertise will shape designs that are practical, manufacturable, and cost-effective, bringing bold ideas to life through prototyping and testing.

• You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design and develop mechanical components for our robotic mowers.
• Using SolidWorks, you will create 3D models and manufacturing drawings to ensure precise and efficient production.
• Your role involves optimizing designs for manufacturability, performance, and cost-efficiency.
• You will participate in design reviews, offering actionable insights to improve product designs.
• Collaboration with suppliers and manufacturing teams is essential to ensure successful prototyping, testing, and production.
• Assembling prototypes and conducting rigorous testing of mechanical and electrical systems, documenting results, is also a key responsibility.
• You will operate and test commercial mowing equipment after proper training.
• Maintaining engineering documentation and creating clean user-facing technical materials is crucial.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in mechanical design or a related field is required.
• An Associate degree in engineering, mechanical design, or a related field is preferred.
• You should have expertise in designing and detailing sheet metal components, weldments, and assemblies.
• A strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and precision is essential.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks and PDM is necessary.
• You should be able to interpret engineering drawings and schematics, and perform basic calculations.
• Hands-on experience with hand and power tools for prototype assembly and testing is required.
• Effective communication skills to articulate technical concepts are crucial.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) is expected.
• Experience with outdoor power equipment, robotics, or construction machinery is a plus.
