Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Cardiac Perfusionist to join our team at Trinity Health. As a Cardiac Perfusionist, you will play a critical role in the success of our cardiac surgery program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and maintain the heart lung machine and monitor patients during open heart surgical procedures.
  • Provide technical and clinical support to the perioperative care team.
  • Participate in orientation and continuing education to maintain knowledge and skills related to specific areas of expertise.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of perfusion.
  • NYS perfusion licensure or eligibility for licensure.
  • Demonstrates manual dexterity and ability to handle mechanical equipment and instruments.
Work Environment

Our cardiac surgery program operates in a fast-paced environment with a high level of patient care and safety. As a Cardiac Perfusionist, you will be exposed to communicable diseases, hazardous materials, and physical injury.

Physical Demands

The physical demands of this role include moderate pushing, pulling, lifting, bending, standing, walking, stooping, and reaching.

Supervision

This role reports to the Cardiac Surgery Section Chief, Director of Surgical Services, and Perfusion Coordinator.

Pay and Benefits

Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates.
