Deliver essential care, monitor residents' health status, assist medical professionals, and convey instructions to residents regarding medication, home care, and preventive health practices.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in the development and assessment of personalized care plans for each resident.
• Uphold nursing service objectives, goals, and standards of practice.
• Timely receipt, transcription, and execution of physicians' orders.
• Report significant changes in residents' conditions to the appropriate personnel.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
• Ensure compliance with infection control protocols.
• Investigate and document any accidents or incidents.
• Accurately record residents' medical histories.
• Measure and document vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, and heart rate.
• Observe residents receiving treatment to track progress and identify side effects of medications.
• Monitor residents' conditions, including fluid intake and output, and maintain accurate charts.
• Assist residents with daily living activities such as eating and bathing.
• Administer injections, prescribed medications, and perform basic medical care tasks.
• Collect samples for laboratory testing as required.
• Provide emotional and psychological support as necessary.
• Communicate effectively with residents' families or friends to offer guidance and comfort.
Qualifications:
• Proven experience as a LPN or in a similar capacity.
• Ability to perform a range of diverse care tasks and collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.
• Familiarity with health, safety, and sanitation standards in a healthcare setting.
• Understanding of confidentiality obligations and nursing best practices.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and hospital protocols.
• Proficient in MS Office and data entry.
• Excellent physical condition and stamina.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
• Compassionate demeanor and ability to manage stress effectively.
• Successful completion of an accredited LPN license program is required.
