Job Overview

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Equipment Maintenance Specialist is tasked with the setup, adjustment, and upkeep of designated machinery within the facility. This role emphasizes a commitment to continuous improvement and fostering a culture of excellence through proactive engagement and professionalism.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Diagnoses mechanical and operational issues on assigned machinery and conducts tests to ensure proper functionality.
  • Implements necessary modifications and adjustments to sustain optimal production quality.
  • Reviews the production timetable and, during downtime, transitions equipment to accommodate new specifications or performs routine maintenance.
  • Clears equipment jams and segregates products for quality inspection or rework.
  • Builds and maintains positive working relationships with Operations, Quality Assurance, and other departments.
  • Evaluates, tests, and measures output from assigned machinery to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Conducts preventive maintenance checks and inspections on assigned equipment, reporting findings to the supervisor and taking necessary actions.
  • Documents and analyzes causes of production delays in daily reports.
  • Informs the maintenance department or supervisor of recurring equipment issues and corrective measures taken, as well as any quality concerns or required supplies.
  • Contributes to a safe, clean, and positive work environment by demonstrating initiative and setting a good example.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Capable of articulating ideas, concepts, and concerns in a thoughtful and professional manner.
  • Ability to cultivate a collaborative and respectful team atmosphere.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

EXPERIENCE:
Prior experience in manufacturing maintenance is preferred.
