Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement creative approaches to ensure social, physical, spiritual, and cognitive engagement that empowers residents.
- Assist with monthly calendar and quarterly newsletter planning, focusing on programming specific for residents living with early to mid-stage Dementia.
- Provide direction and guidance for residents to successfully participate in daily programming.
- Encourage participation of members in all programming provided.
- Observe and communicate information to the manager regarding resident's needs, desires, concerns, and responses to engagement and programming.
- Assist in planning and creating monthly calendars and quarterly newsletters.
- Participate in training as directed by the Manager.
- Support the Manager's duties when the Manager is absent.
- Drive bus for excursions.
- A minimum of one-year experience working with individuals living with Dementia.
- Associate degree or combination of education or certification specific to Dementia services preferred.
- Colorado driver's license in good standing.
- Must be independent and work well within a team environment.
- Must be able to read, write, and speak the English language.
- Must exhibit excellent oral and written skills.
The position requires light physical effort, with occasional handling of objects up to 20 pounds and frequent handling of objects up to 10 pounds. The role involves sitting, standing, bending, and moving intermittently during working hours. The individual will be subject to frequent interruptions and will interact with residents, family members, and visitors frequently.
