We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Management Specialist to join our team at Bechtel Corporation.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to work on complex projects with multiple stakeholders' involvement. As a Construction Management Specialist, you will be responsible for monitoring and organizing subcontractor planning, safety, quality, and technical activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor subcontractor activities through coordination and instruction of subcontractor's management staff within the area of responsibility.
  • SUPPORT mid-size projects of medium to high complexity with multiple stakeholders' involvement.

Planning:

  • Monitoring subcontractor construction schedules, resource charts, and material and equipment requirements.
  • Reviewing subcontractor construction methods, schedules, manning charts, and material and equipment requirements.
  • Coordinating the construction operations impact on external interfaces to ensure they coincide with the overall established schedules.

Safety / Quality:

  • Monitoring installation of materials and equipment to assure conformance with drawings, specifications, vendor, and other requirements.
  • Enforcing policies, procedures and related work rules as established by field construction management.

Technical:

  • SUPPORTING Construction Field Engineers, Foremen, and Craft Professionals, in interpreting Engineering design documents, vendor documents, and other technical documents.
  • Coordinating engineering solutions with Subcontractors, and Foremen and Craft Professionals.
  • Coordinating with Design on constructability issues.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of a single or multi-discipline construction or engineering operation.
  • Knowledge of Bechtel's Zero Accident Philosophy.
  • Knowledge of the Project ES&H Handbook, the Supervisors ES&H Manual, the Project Safety Management Plan and the Bechtel Core Processes.
  • Knowledge of the Six Sigma program tools and methodologies.
  • Knowledge of supervisory functions relating to field activities.
  • Knowledge of Standard Work Process Procedures (SWPPs).
  • Computer literate in word processing, spreadsheet and database applications in accordance with current Bechtel Standard Application Program (BSAP) standards.
  • Demonstrated leadership in a team-based environment.
  • Knowledge of the use of subcontracts, and the contractor and subcontractor's responsibilities contained in subcontract documents.
  • Experience working with, supervising and administering subcontractors and/or Direct Hire workforce.

Total Rewards/Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary range of $110,000 - $140,000 per year, depending on experience.
