Job Overview: Commercial Refrigeration Expert

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Refrigeration Expert to join our team at McDonald Refrigeration Inc. This individual will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing commercial refrigeration equipment, including reach-in's, walk-in coolers/freezers, and ice machines.

The ideal candidate should have a strong background in mechanical aptitude and electrical systems, with excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. They should also be physically able to climb ladders and lift objects up to 50 pounds.

The estimated salary for this position is around $65,000-$85,000 per year, depending on experience. Benefits may include medical, dental, and life insurance, an IRA retirement plan with company match, paid vacation and holidays, and a service vehicle provided.

Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, and repair commercial refrigeration equipment.
  • Conduct routine inspections and troubleshoot issues with equipment.
  • Work independently and as part of a team to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Develop and implement plans to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share knowledge and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in commercial refrigeration installation, maintenance, and repair.
  • EPA Certification.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
