Position Overview

As a Forklift Operator, you will play a crucial role in our warehouse operations, focusing on both inbound and outbound logistics. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Inbound Logistics: Efficiently unloading trailers, transporting, and storing products in designated areas.
  • Outbound Logistics: Picking, transporting, and loading products into trailers for distribution.
  • Inspection Duties: Conducting regular inspections of products and trailers to ensure quality and safety.
  • Damage Reporting: Identifying and reporting any damaged or infested products to maintain inventory integrity.
  • Maintenance Communication: Promptly communicating any maintenance or repair needs for facilities, vehicles, and equipment to supervisory staff.
  • Inventory Management: Utilizing an RF scanner within a computerized inventory control system to track product movements throughout the warehouse.
  • Order Fulfillment: Completing freight picking orders by selecting cases from storage locations, palletizing products, and securing pallets with shrink wrap.
  • Equipment Operation: Operating various material handling equipment, including electric pallet jacks, swing reach forklifts, and stock pickers.
  • Safety Practices: Adhering to safety protocols and wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
  • Housekeeping Standards: Maintaining a clean and organized work environment, including the proper disposal of waste and cleaning of trailers.
  • Independent Work: Demonstrating the ability to work autonomously while meeting established quality and productivity standards.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Performing other related duties as assigned by management.

This position is essential to the smooth operation of our warehouse and requires a dedicated individual who values safety and efficiency.
