Job Summary:

Palm Springs Kia is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Salesperson to join our team. As a Salesperson, you will be responsible for maximizing vehicle sales and profit while maintaining the highest possible level of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions and helping customers select a vehicle that fits their needs.
  • Product Knowledge: Explain product performance, application, and benefits to customers by describing all optional equipment available.
  • Demonstrations: Demonstrate new and used vehicles, including test drives.
  • Prospect Development: Maintain up-to-date knowledge on new products, features, and accessories available and translate them into benefits for customers.
  • Vehicle Preparation: Prepare sold vehicles for customer pick-up, ensuring that the customer understands the vehicle's operational features.
  • Negotiations: Negotiate vehicle price with the aid and at the direction of Sales Management.
  • Follow-up: Follow up with active prospects using the Dealership's Customer Relationship Management System (CRM) and previous customers for referrals and future sales.
  • Teamwork: Work harmoniously with co-workers and supervisors and demonstrate professionalism towards customers, co-workers, and the public at large.
  • Adherence: Demonstrate adherence to Company procedures and maintain an acceptable attendance record.
  • Independence: Work without constant supervision and report to the Sales Manager or General Sales Manager regarding objectives, planned activities, reviews, and analyses.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Training: Able to meet and continue to meet manufacturers' training requirements.
  • Experience: Previous sales/marketing experience preferred.
  • Appearance: Professional appearance and customer-oriented attitude.
  • Licenses: Valid in-state driver's license with acceptable driving record according to dealership guidelines.
  • Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills to interact professionally with customers, vendors, and staff, excellent telephone skills and etiquette, computer skills sufficient to use Dealership CRM and email software, highly organized and self-motivated.
  • Physical Demands: Able to work both indoors and outdoors for extended periods, which will include exposure to ambient heat and cold, sun, rain, snow, and other weather conditions.
  • Schedule: Able to work a flexible schedule and varying hours, which will include morning, evening, weekend, and holiday work.
