Overview:

We are seeking an ATE Electrical Engineer to facilitate the development of Test Program Set (TPS) code across various Business Units, including Power & Control Actuation Systems and Space & Marine sectors. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in Electrical Engineering and a proven track record in designing, developing, and implementing intricate C#/C++ test applications.

Key Responsibilities:

The primary duties involve creating automated TPS software, manual tools, and utilities for new test equipment, alongside troubleshooting and enhancing existing TPS software for new testing requirements and features. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the new product development team for Prime Mission Equipment, providing essential tools for communication, interrogation, and testing of new products, thereby facilitating early feedback on design concepts. The role will also extend to providing tools and automation throughout the Design Verification Testing (DVT), Qualification, and Production stages of projects. Contributions to all formal review documentation, such as TE Gate events, will be expected.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with 15 years of experience in Test Equipment Software development.
  • A minimum of 15 years of dedicated ATE development experience, demonstrating high-level expertise in the ATE specialty domain. Key areas of expertise should include Test Executives, TPS Test Code, Equipment Drivers, Hardware Abstraction Layers, Test Equipment and End-Item Integration, Requirements Analysis, and preparation of Design Review materials. Knowledge of ATE hardware concerning both manual and automated control of standard test instrumentation is essential. Familiarity with Power Distribution Units and Control and Actuation Systems is advantageous.
  • Hardware Proficiency: Signal Generators, Power Meters/Analyzers, Data Acquisition and Control Systems, Digital Multimeters, Oscilloscopes, High Voltage Power Supplies, Analog I/O, Digital I/O, PXI.
  • Software Proficiency: C/C++/C#, Real-Time Operating Systems, Flex-RIO, Microsoft Office Suite (Word/Excel), SQL, SQL Automation, Visio, Adobe Acrobat, PowerPoint.
  • Interface Protocol Knowledge: IEEE-488, I2C, SPI, USB, CAN, RS-485/422/232, Serial, TCP/IP, J-TAG.
  • Must be a US Citizen.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Experience in TPS Project Planning, Monitoring, and Reporting.
  • Ability to train, guide, and mentor junior engineers.
  • Strong collaborative skills with program teams.
  • Capability to assemble and present professional technical documentation and reports.
