Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Machinist CNC Programming Specialist to join our team at ODIN Works.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in CNC programming, with experience working on multi-axis Mill and CNC Lathe machines.

About the Role

As a Machinist CNC Programming Specialist, you will be responsible for creating and editing machine programs using CAM software.

You will also prototype new parts, including creating fixturing, program and use robots, and operate multi-axis CNC Mill and CNC Lathe Machines.

Additionally, you will make edits to proven programs, write basic programs through manual entry, and identify, edit and evaluate changes to tool locations, tool off-sets, feed rates, and RPM.

Responsibilities
  • Create and edit machine programs using CAM software
  • Prototype new parts, including creating fixturing
  • Program and use robots
  • Operate multi-axis CNC Mill and CNC Lathe Machines
  • Make edits to proven programs
  • Write basic programs through manual entry
  • Identify, edit and evaluate changes to tool locations, tool off-sets, feed rates, and RPM
  • Assist and train those with less skills, ability and experience as needed
Requirements
  • Strong background in CNC programming
  • Experience working on multi-axis Mill and CNC Lathe machines
  • Good knowledge of G code and program editing
  • Able to calculate speeds and feeds for cutting tools used on common aluminum and steel
  • Knowledge of Fanuc and Haas controls
  • Able to read and write in English
  • At least three years CNC programming experience with multi-axis Mill and CNC Lathe machines
  • Experience reading and adhering to blue prints and requirements

The estimated salary for this role is $25.00 - $35.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, 8 hour shift.
