Job Title: Behavior Specialist

Job Summary:

Northeast Family Services is seeking a highly skilled Behavior Specialist to join our team. As a Behavior Specialist, you will be responsible for implementing clients' behavior support plans to decrease problematic behavior and provide ABA-based instruction to promote development of new skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement clients' behavior support plans to decrease problematic behavior
  • Provide ABA-based instruction to promote development of new skills
  • Monitor client behavior and collect data on client behavior
  • Report data back to supervising BCBA
  • Work collaboratively with supervising BCBA and client's family to support meaningful changes in client behavior

Qualifications:

  • A high school diploma or a GED and 24 months of experience working with persons with developmental disabilities, children, adolescents, transitional age youth, or families
  • An associates degree or higher in a human, social, or educational services discipline, or a degree or certification related to behavior management from an accredited community college or educational institution and 12 months experience working with persons with developmental disabilities, children, adolescents, transitional age youth, or families
  • Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) and 12 months experience working with persons with developmental disabilities, children, adolescents, transitional age youth, or families

Compensation:

  • $20-$27/hour depending upon experience
