**Job Summary:**
The Clinical Research Nurse II is a key member of the Yale Cancer Center Clinical Trials Office team, responsible for providing research services to patients participating in clinical trials. This role requires a strong understanding of clinical research principles and practices, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Provide research services to patients participating in clinical trials, including obtaining informed consent, conducting research procedures, and collecting and managing research data.
* Collaborate with research staff, clinicians, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth trial operations and high-quality patient care.
* Develop and maintain knowledge of clinical trials, research protocols, and regulatory requirements.
* Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance research processes and patient outcomes.
**Requirements:**
* Bachelor's degree in nursing or related field.
* Current licensure as a registered nurse in the state of Connecticut.
* Minimum of 2 years of experience in clinical research or a related field.
* Strong understanding of clinical research principles and practices.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
**Working Conditions:**
* This position will be primarily based out of our Waterbury location.
* The Clinical Research Nurse II will work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.
* The ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential.
