Clinical Research Nurse 2 Position

The Clinical Research Nurse 2 will serve as the primary interface between the Principal Investigator and all aspects of study implementation. This role will oversee and implement the clinical research operation of the Testani laboratory, leading a team of study staff and ensuring regulatory compliance for ongoing heart failure studies in both hospitalized and ambulatory patients.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate and assess subjects' suitability for inclusion in studies, developing and modifying procedures according to study findings.
- Develop and implement procedures and data quality assurance standards for safety monitoring components of studies.
- Contribute to designing activities, policies, and procedures to improve day-to-day efficiency of the recruitment and assessment components of the study.
- Arrange patient enrollment, determine patient eligibility, and obtain informed consent.
- Develop study subject referral sources and design outreach programs.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary researchers to coordinate research programs that integrate new advances in clinical trials.
- Delegate tasks and supervise the activities of other licensed and unlicensed care providers.
A Bachelor's of Science Degree in Nursing and four years of related demonstrated experience or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated experience are required. The ideal candidate will possess strong understanding of Cardiac conditions, including disease-related symptom management, standard treatment options, and treatment-related side effect management.
Preferred qualifications include an MSN and demonstrated experience with cardiology research. Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Connecticut or Connecticut license eligibility is also required.
