About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Per Diem Medical Monitor Professional to join our team at PennState Health. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who thrive in fast-paced environments and are passionate about delivering exceptional patient care.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring patients' heart rhythms, identifying irregularities, and reporting concerns to the RN in charge. A strong understanding of troubleshooting skills is essential to recognize monitoring problems, identify probable causes, and seek solutions to correct issues.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor patients' heart rhythms and report any irregularities to the RN in charge.
  • Ensure that heart monitors are functioning correctly and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide high-quality patient care.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

  • A High School degree or equivalent.
  • AHA BLS certification prior to the end of orientation.
  • Six months of experience in Monitor Tech or ED, or completion of a heart arrhythmia course, or current nursing student status.
Preferred Qualifications

Candidates with additional qualifications, such as current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, may have a competitive advantage in the selection process.

Estimated Salary Range

The estimated annual salary for this position is $45,000 - $60,000, based on the title, job description, and location. Please note that salaries may vary depending on individual qualifications and experience.
