Job Summary

Frye Regional Medical Center is seeking a skilled Radiology Imaging Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing various imaging procedures in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reviews patient history and physician's orders to ensure accurate and effective treatment.
  • Educates patients regarding procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation.
  • Prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice.
  • Monitors patient condition continually and reports/responds to changes in status as appropriate.
  • Prepares equipment and supplies for imaging procedures.
  • Implements safety standards and performs quality control procedures on equipment.
  • Troubleshoots, resolves, and/or reports equipment malfunctions as necessary.
  • Positions patients and performs imaging procedures.
  • Analyzes results and identifies issues with the quality of imaging results.
  • Takes appropriate action to resolve image quality issues, including repositioning patients and repeating procedures.
  • Enters, transmits, and reports scan results.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
