As a Transportation Civil Engineer at PBS, you will be responsible for performing civil engineering design work in a team environment, working with other engineers, project managers, and PBS staff across multiple service disciplines. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting in the management of moderate to large-scale projects and independently managing smaller projects using local or AASHTO standards;
  • Performing civil engineering design tasks associated with state and local municipal public works projects, and private development projects;
  • Self-managing project tasks, effectively managing multiple assignments, and maintaining active communication with project managers;
  • Mentoring and leading junior staff through delivery of projects;
  • Effectively managing day-to-day internal and external communication, supporting and advising junior engineers and technical staff to develop PS&E documents, writing reports and technical memos, coordinating with subconsultants, and keeping project on schedule and within budget.
