About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled CDL rear load driver to join our team at Rumpke of Ohio. As a rear load truck operator, you will be responsible for collecting and hauling waste or recycling materials to disposal sites or recycling plants.

This is a physically demanding role that requires excellent driving and maneuvering skills. You will service multiple routes in various areas, including residential and commercial properties. Your ability to read maps, perform physical tasks, and communicate effectively with internal and external customers is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Operate trucks in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
  • Provide trash or recycling removal services to customers by emptying containers into the truck and hauling them to disposal sites
  • May be required to pull or push containers from enclosures or inside buildings
  • Deliver trash or recycling containers as needed
  • Replace receptacles neatly at the curb or designated area
  • Clean up waste spills and overflows
  • Maintain and update route & driver log sheets
  • Conduct pre-trip/post trip inspections and complete logs
  • Interact professionally with internal and external customers
  • Clean waste from the packer blade and truck body

Requirements

  • A valid Class B CDL is required
  • A valid DOT Medical Card or ability to obtain prior to hire
  • At least 19 years of age
  • No more than 3 moving violations within the last 2 years
  • No DUI's or OVI's within the last 5 years or 2 in the last 10 years

About the Salary

The estimated salary for this position is $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience. This is a full-time opportunity with flexible hours, including overtime, weekends, and holidays. We offer competitive benefits and opportunities for growth and development.
