Position Overview

We are currently seeking a seasoned Financial Accountant to take on a pivotal role within our organization.

This position offers a hybrid work model, allowing for a blend of in-office and remote work.

As a Senior Financial Accountant, you will have the opportunity to oversee a business unit and provide strategic financial guidance to our leadership team on all pertinent financial matters, including strategy formulation and process enhancement.

Joining a skilled and established team, your responsibilities will include:

  • Acting as the primary financial liaison for one of the manufacturing business units.
  • Offering financial insights and support on all operational issues.
  • Managing month-end closing activities, including production process order reconciliations, absorption analysis, overhead expenditure breakdown, headcount evaluation, variance analysis, and narrative reporting.
  • Conducting financial planning and analysis for the business unit, encompassing monthly forecasts, annual plans, and long-range planning.
  • Monitoring, reviewing, and reporting on all essential financial metrics.
  • Reporting on operational performance through regular KPI updates to senior management and cross-functional teams.
  • Ensuring compliance with SOX and internal control protocols in all accounting and reporting procedures.
  • Completing monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Driving initiatives for process improvements to achieve business objectives.
  • Ensuring full compliance with all regulatory requirements, including support for internal and external audits.
  • Conducting variance analysis to ensure accuracy and reasonableness in monthly management accounts, facilitating timely corrective actions when necessary.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional departments, including Supply Chain, Quality, Manufacturing, and Operational Excellence.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A qualification as a Certified Accountant from a recognized accounting body.
  • A degree in business or accounting.
  • Demonstrated experience in a fast-paced finance environment.
  • Experience in a global manufacturing or multinational setting is preferred.
  • Familiarity with SAP and Blackline systems is advantageous.
  • A results-oriented mindset, with a focus on meeting targets and metrics set by leadership.
