About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Anti-Cheat Engineer to join our team at Amazon Games. As a key member of our Anti Team, you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding the integrity of our current and upcoming game titles.

Your primary responsibility will be to design, develop, and maintain software solutions that prevent cheats and ensure a fair gaming experience for millions of players.

You will work closely with our cross-discipline team of engineers and data scientists to drive forward the mission to make cheaters miserable and preserve the integrity of gaming.

Key Responsibilities
  • Architect and develop software pipelines for detecting and preventing cheats on PC game clients, ensuring scalability and reliability.
  • Proactively identify emerging cheats and exploits, and devise preemptive strategies to defeat them.

  • Reverse engineer existing cheats to understand their mechanics and identify applicable detection vectors.
  • Advocate for best practices in Windows driver and service development, and mentor fellow engineers to raise the team's overall technical bar.
About the Team

The Anti Team is a new initiative within Amazon Games dedicated to building industry-leading, multi-game anti-cheat solutions from the ground up.

Leveraging Amazon's platform and compute capabilities, our goal is to create innovative software that makes cheating so challenging and frustrating that it is no longer viable.

We operate at the intersection of engineering, data science, and game security, constantly iterating on our solutions to protect the player experience and enforce a level playing field for all players.

Requirements
  • 7+ years in C++ professional software development.
  • 5+ years of experience with reverse engineering and development tools (IDA Pro, WinDbg, etc).
  • 3+ years of Windows kernel mode development experience.
  • 3+ years contributing to the architecture, design, or analysis of anti-cheat systems.
Preferred Qualifications
