Reporting To: Director of Estimating
Role Summary:The Senior Estimator is tasked with delivering comprehensive estimates derived from initial conceptual documents, as well as schematic, design development, and construction documentation.
This role requires collaboration with various estimating disciplines, project team members, subcontractors, and management to ensure accurate and efficient project execution.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct take-offs, pricing, and generate final estimates to be integrated into the overall project deliverables.
- Create both conceptual and detailed estimates for GMP/CM proposals, budgets, and negotiated projects with minimal supervision.
- Oversee the preparation and coordination of all Mechanical Estimates, including conceptual, CM, and lump sum estimates.
- Lead Mechanical Estimating efforts on projects of varying scales.
- Work effectively within a team environment while managing multiple assignments concurrently.
- Navigate blueprints through all design phases from DD to CD and generate relevant RFIs as necessary.
A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Technical/Design Education, or equivalent estimating and/or field experience is required.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in the installation or estimation of HVAC Mechanical Systems is essential.
Licensing Requirements:5 years of relevant experience is mandatory.
A degree or equivalent experience is necessary.
Skills:The ideal candidate will be organized and possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Experience with Trimble software is advantageous, while proficiency in Microsoft Office is essential.
Physical Demands:Candidates must be able to lift approximately 50 lbs., climb ladders and stairs, bend or stoop, and walk for extended periods. Regular exposure to varying weather conditions is expected, along with the ability to operate motor vehicles and power or hand tools.
Proficiency in typing and working at a computer for extended durations is required.
Additional Information:Individuals should demonstrate a commitment to ongoing skill development in the HVAC/R trade as part of their professional growth. Strong teamwork abilities are essential, as is the capacity to work independently.
