We are seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Inpatient Cardiology Specialist to join our team at UT Southwestern Medical Center. The ideal candidate will have expertise in providing comprehensive care to pediatric patients with a wide range of congenital and acquired heart disease. Key responsibilities include conducting comprehensive physical examinations, synthesizing data to develop and implement patient plans of care, and facilitating quality-related initiatives. Strong clinical expertise, critical thinking skills, and ability to maintain current customer service, clinical, and technical skills are essential for success in this role.

Job Summary

  • Assess, diagnose, treat, manage, educate, and consult with patients and their families
  • Order and interpret laboratory, radiology, and other diagnostic studies/results
  • Demonstrate proficiency in technical/procedural skills based on specialty and training
  • Facilitate/participate in quality-related initiatives through group processes, workshops, seminars, and staff meetings

Requirements

  • Master's degree or higher in nursing or accredited Physician Assistant program
  • Licensure as Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (CPNP-AC) by Texas State Board of Nursing or licensed by the Texas Physician Assistant Board
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
