Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Application Enablement Engineer to join our Cloud Services organization within Schwab Technology Services (STS). As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for enabling and supporting enterprise-level business applications transitioning to our multi-cloud infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyzing and troubleshooting complex issues across Cloud Infrastructure and getting to root cause
  • Collaborating & influencing across multiple teams (Cloud Architecture, Cloud Engineering, Application DevOps, Cloud SRE, and Cloud Tools Engineering) to effectively design solutions to permanently fix persistent issues that prevent Cloud Application teams from effectively adopting Cloud Services
  • Results Oriented. Delivered impactful results in previous experiences around scaling, standardizing, visualizing, or observing core services
  • Communications (Written and Verbal) Effectively communicating across teams and across various levels of technical leadership
  • Designing and executing strategic technology plans to associated business partners ensuring collaboration across technology and the business
  • Experience supporting Application DevOps practices
  • Working in a fast-paced environment where priorities can change
  • Strong technology affinity and experience
  • Experience with IT, DevOps, or DevSecOps
  • Experience working in an Agile release management team
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field OR related practical experience
  • 5+ years of experience supporting Infrastructure and Application Operations
  • 5+ years of experience in Software Development (Infrastructure or Application)
  • 3+ years direct experience with Cloud support in AWS, GCP, or Azure
  • Infrastructure as code. (Preferably leveraging Terraform) Either designing net new modules and maintaining including troubleshooting and resolving issues with existing modules
  • Experience with Cloud Security products and following secure design principles
  • Work experience with DevOps tool suites; examples include Git, Bitbucket, Bamboo, Jenkins, Concourse, etc.
  • Experience with ITIL operational processes to ensure high availability and service of entire technology stack
  • Experience with environment provisioning and deployment automation (Salt/Chef/Puppet)
  • Experience working in a Public Cloud Environment required
  • In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities
