Position Summary:

The Radiologic Technologist is responsible for conducting radiographic examinations to aid in diagnosing medical conditions. This role requires effective interaction with patients and their families while fostering a cooperative environment with fellow healthcare professionals.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare the examination area, ensuring all equipment and instruments are ready based on patient requirements.
  • Confirm patient identity and verify the imaging order, clearly explaining the procedure to the patient.
  • Accurately position patients for radiological imaging.
  • Operate x-ray, fluoroscopy, and C-arm machinery in accordance with established protocols to prioritize patient safety and comfort, applying radiation shielding as necessary.
  • Consistently adhere to radiation safety standards.
  • Address patient inquiries related to the imaging process.
  • Maintain compliance with radiologic care standards.
  • Document patient care accurately in line with established policies and procedures.
  • Review each imaging study for technical precision, presenting completed work to the supervising physician and communicating relevant information to the care team.
  • Manage responsibilities for the designated area, including inventory control of supplies and maintaining cleanliness of examination rooms and equipment.

Qualifications:
  • Current ARRT certification is mandatory.
  • An Associate's Degree is preferred.
  • Experience with X-ray and C-arm technology is essential.
  • Strong communication skills to interact professionally and courteously with patients and staff.
  • Ability to work autonomously.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality at all times.
  • Exceptional interpersonal abilities.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized.
