Radiology Technologist Level II

We are seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist Level II to join our team at Kaiser Permanente. As a key member of our Radiology Department, you will be responsible for performing a variety of standard radiographic procedures in a safe and efficient manner. This includes reviewing and transmitting films and reports to appropriate physicians, as well as performing reception and clerical duties within the department.
Essential Responsibilities- Prepare patients for radiographic procedures by accurately assessing their needs and providing patient education.
- Perform radiographic and/or fluoroscopic procedures, demonstrating skills for IV placement and injection of contrast materials.
- Operate computer and radiographic equipment for image production and documentation of images.
- Perform quality control measures to ensure optimal quality images.
- Enter and properly complete all patient information, including exam charges and supplies, into the Radiology Information System (RIS) and/or other KP application.
- Prepare films for interpretation by the radiologist in an accurate and timely manner.
- Exhibit flexibility and adaptability to unique needs of the department and respond appropriately.
- Communicate abnormal situations to proper sources in a way that facilitates resolution and/or tracking.
- Actively engage other healthcare providers to ensure quality, continuity, and appropriateness of care.
- Follow department procedures/processes/policies, practicing safety measures in radiography by adhering to all governing regulations.
- One (1) year of experience as a Radiological Technologist.
- Basic Life Support certification.
- Radiologic Technologist Certification.
- General knowledge of EH&S, OSHA, DHR, Radiation Safety and Protection.
- General knowledge of exam protocols.
- Basic PC (keyboarding & navigation) skills.
- Two (2) years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist.
