About the Role

Catholic Health Service is seeking a skilled Credentialing Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of credentialing processes for medical staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Audit and verify data entered by clerical staff in the Cactus Database
  • Process initial and reappointment applications in a timely manner
  • Communicate with applicants and re-applicants to ensure smooth processing
  • Follow up with practitioners on missing items for packet
  • Run all appropriate verifications related to the initial appointment/reappointment process
  • Accurately manage the Cactus database for updating physician profiles and privileges
  • Prepare completed packets for Chief & Chairman/Director Review
  • Post Credentials Committee/Board of Trustees follow-up
Requirements
  • 5 years of credentialing experience in a hospital setting
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel
  • Excellent customer service, oral/written communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Well-versed in the use of the Cactus Database and CPCS (Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist)
