Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist Registered to join our team at McLaren Health Care. As a key member of our respiratory care team, you will provide high-quality patient care services to individuals with breathing or cardiopulmonary disorders.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct patient assessments and develop treatment plans in collaboration with physicians.
  • Administer various respiratory therapies, including chest physiotherapy, aerosol medications, and non-invasive methods such as CPAP and BIPAP.
  • Monitor and record patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed.
  • Teach patients and their families how to use respiratory equipment and therapies.
  • Operate and maintain respiratory equipment, ensuring optimal functionality and safety.
  • Participate in quality assurance and improvement activities to enhance patient care and outcomes.
Requirements
  • Associate degree in a Respiratory Therapist Educational Program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP).
  • Current state licensure as a respiratory therapist.
  • Successful completion of the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) registration examination requirements.
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credentials.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of therapy procedures for patients ranging from pediatric to geriatric.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and with minimal supervision.
  • BLS certification.
  • ACLS certification required if working in Cardiac Rehab, Respiratory Care, or Sleep Center.
  • PALS certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree.
