Job Title: Senior Social Worker

Partnership with Children is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Senior Social Worker to join our team in New York City public schools. As a Senior Social Worker, you will play a critical role in providing critical social and emotional supports for the hardest-to-reach youth and systematically building schools that are safe, successful, and conducive to learning.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide individual counseling and case management to students and families
  • Facilitate group counseling sessions, either individually or with a co-facilitator
  • Attend all school-based meetings, including those with administration, guidance counselors, and teachers
  • Collaborate with after-school enrichment providers to support student development
  • Work closely with school administration and staff to identify and address the needs of students, families, and the school community
  • Develop positive relationships with the school community and integrate into the school culture
  • Conduct parent workshops and teacher staff development sessions to promote social-emotional learning
  • Support students and families in crisis situations
  • Other duties as assigned by the supervisor
Qualifications:
  • Commitment to Partnership with Children's organizational values of Collaboration, Continuous Learning, Going to Solution, Equity & Inclusion, and Passion
  • New York State LMSW from an accredited school of social work
  • At least one year's experience in a school setting, with a strong background working with students and families
  • At least two years of post-MSW experience, with eligibility for SIFI certification
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a flexible and can-do attitude
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Bilingual (Spanish) a plus
Benefits:
  • Full-time position with occasional weeknight hours
  • Year-round position, with summer location and duties varying
  • This is a school-based, in-person position
  • Salary range: $62K - $65K annually, commensurate with credentials and experience
