Job Summary

Partnership with Children is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Senior Social Worker to join our team in New York City public schools. As a key member of our school-based team, you will provide critical social and emotional supports to students, families, and school communities.

Responsibilities
  • Provide individual counseling and case management to students and families
  • Facilitate group counseling sessions, either individually or with a co-facilitator
  • Attend all school-based meetings, including those with administration, guidance counselors, and teachers
  • Collaborate with after-school enrichment providers to support student needs
  • Work closely with school administration and staff to identify and address student, family, and community needs
  • Develop positive relationships with school staff and community members to integrate into and engage with school culture
  • Conduct parent workshops and teacher staff development sessions to promote student success
  • Support students and families in crisis situations
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the organization
Qualifications
  • Commitment to Partnership with Children's organizational values of Collaboration, Continuous Learning, Going to Solution, Equity & Inclusion, and Passion
  • New York State LMSW from an accredited school of social work
  • At least one year of experience in a school setting, with a strong background working with students and families preferred
  • At least two years of post-MSW experience, with eligibility for SIFI certification
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a flexible and can-do attitude
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Bilingual (Spanish) a plus
