Emergency Veterinarian

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough examinations of animals and diagnose illnesses or injuries with precision.
  • Develop and implement tailored treatment plans for animals based on their unique needs.
  • Perform emergency surgeries, including splenectomy, GDV, foreign body removals, cystotomy, and tumor removals, with a willingness to learn and adapt.
  • Educate pet owners on proper animal care, nutrition, and preventive measures to promote overall well-being.
  • Collaborate with veterinary technicians and other staff members to provide comprehensive care.
  • Maintain accurate medical records for all patients.
  • Stay up-to-date with advancements in veterinary medicine and attend continuing education courses.
Requirements:
  • Strong knowledge of pet care, veterinary medicine, and veterinary terminology.
  • Experience in animal catheterization and dog training.
  • Understanding of animal physiology and behavior.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with pet owners and staff members.
  • Familiarity with Instinct as the practice management software is a plus.
