Embark on a fulfilling journey as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) at JWCH Institute, where you will be at the forefront of delivering high-quality behavioral health services to children and adolescents. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of our patients through innovative staffing solutions, dynamic scope of work, and documentation.

Position Purpose: As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive bio-psychosocial assessments, developing patient care plans, and providing psychotherapy, counseling, and medical case management services to children and adolescents. You will also work closely with primary care providers to enhance understanding of patients, provide support for treatment approaches, and assist with implementation of bio-psychosocial treatment and care plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct functional and strength-based bio-psychosocial assessments for children and adolescents.
  2. Develop patient care plans that are coordinated and integrated with a comprehensive range of medical and psychosocial services.
  3. Provide psychotherapy, counseling, and medical case management services to children and adolescents.
  4. Employ evidence-based treatments, including sand and play therapy, DBT, CBT, Seeking Safety, and Motivational Interviewing.
  5. Consult with primary care providers to enhance understanding of patients and provide support for treatment approaches.
  6. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and provide consultation to and coordinate care for patients needing specialty mental health and/or substance use disorder services.
  7. Advocate for patients within organizations and community to ensure access to appropriate care.
  8. Be available for crisis intervention and provide consultation to primary medical care staff during working hours.

Requirements:

  1. Master's degree in social work or social welfare from an accredited college or university.
  2. LCSW with current California BBS license.
  3. 3+ years of experience working with children and adolescents.
  4. Experience working on an interdisciplinary team.
  5. Demonstrated understanding of the impact of trauma on behavioral and medical conditions.
  6. Knowledgeable of evidence-based treatments.
  7. Knowledge of principles, procedures, methods, and techniques of mental health emergency procedures.
  8. Experience working with substance abuse disorders preferred.
  9. Experience working in a medical setting preferred.
  10. Bilingual (English/Spanish) ability needed.
