Position Overview

The CMM Programmer role is essential for ensuring quality in manufacturing processes. Candidates should possess a solid understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) standards and have familiarity with engineering schematics. This position is integral to the operations affiliated with advanced manufacturing environments.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Proficiency in CMM programming is advantageous.
  • Independently develop, create, and modify CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) programs as necessary.
  • Collaborate with customers and team leaders to facilitate Gage R&R activities, measurement correlations, and Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations related to CMM equipment.
  • Demonstrate practical knowledge in interpreting engineering drawings.
  • Exhibit the ability to work both collaboratively and independently as required.

Qualifications and Experience

  • 3-5 years of experience with CMM software packages such as Calypso or PC DMIS
  • Knowledge of gage calibration, in-process inspections, and both visual and dimensional inspections.
  • Understanding of measurement and inspection methodologies.
  • Familiarity with CAD systems is a beneficial asset.
  • Comfort in a manufacturing environment is essential.
  • Proven organizational and problem-solving capabilities.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required, and security verification is a mandatory condition for employment.

Educational Background

  • High School diploma or equivalent, with relevant coursework or training in manufacturing and quality assurance.
