Job Summary

Columbus McKinnon is seeking a highly skilled Chief Financial Officer, Americas to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for providing financial oversight, driving sound financial decisions, and improving profitability and cash flow.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Planning and Analysis: Develop, analyze, and interpret financial information to measure operating results, including profitability, cash generation, and working capital management.
  • Business Unit Leadership: Lead and direct business unit financial planning and analysis, reporting, accounting practices, budgeting, forecasting, and internal control requirements.
  • Financial Strategy: Develop and measure key performance metrics, analyze business trends, financial results, and advise on the financial implications and consequences of business decisions.
  • Project Management: Lead the implementation of financial related projects and system implementations.
  • Compliance and Governance: Review audit findings and assist in the development of action plans and the implementation of agreed-upon corrective measures.
  • Communication and Presentation: Develop, review, communicate, and present strategic plans, operating budgets, and forecasts.
  • Team Leadership: Serve as the main point of contact for corporate and business unit functions regarding financial matters, lead the business unit development and implementation of financial goals, policies, priorities, and financial strategy.
  • Cash Flow and Working Capital Management: Drive cash flow, working capital, and inventory management initiatives.
  • Internal Controls and Risk Management: Regularly monitor and implement corporate governance procedures, risk management, and internal controls.
  • Finance Function Excellence: Promote continuous improvement, efficiency, and competence within the finance function to top quartile industry benchmark levels.
  • Staff Development and Engagement: Work closely with staff, assist in mentoring, coaching, training, and evaluating staff, and improve finance team engagement.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting, Master's in Business Administration preferred.
  • Experience: 10+ years of corporate finance experience, experience working for a global publicly traded company preferred.
  • Skills: Strong leader with expertise in building strong high-performing teams, demonstrated desire for continuous improvement, strong analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial reports, and legal documents, ability to write reports and business correspondence, ability to effectively present information to management.
