Position Overview:

Parker Hannifin Corporation is seeking a dedicated Quality Assurance Engineer to champion and uphold the Corporate WIN Strategy by overseeing quality operations within the designated Value Stream.

This role is pivotal in developing, modifying, and maintaining quality standards for both products and processes. The engineer will provide statistical insights for quality enhancement by collecting data on trends and conducting root cause analyses.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Evaluate quality performance (or cost-of-quality) utilizing statistical and analytical techniques.

2. Design and implement various methodologies and procedures for inspecting, testing, and assessing the precision, reliability, and accuracy of products, processes, and production equipment.

3. Establish and maintain quality systems and procedures, inspection plans, quality performance trends, statistical plans, cost assessments, and technical quality plans for proposals.

4. Ensure compliance of project and/or process control documentation with requirements and/or contracts.

5. Analyze the costs associated with products or materials that fail to meet required standards and specifications through statistical analysis.

6. Provide quality insights to product development teams.

7. Identify quality performance trends and corrective actions by collaborating with customers and suppliers.

8. Ensure adherence to specified quality requirements through in-house and supplier audits and surveys.

9. Develop and implement programs aimed at enhancing supplier performance.

10. Prepare comprehensive reports by collecting, interpreting, analyzing, and summarizing data, along with making informed recommendations.

11. Analyze proposed changes in methods and materials.

12. Compile and develop training materials and conduct training sessions focused on quality control activities.

13. Participate in failure analysis and corrective action investigations.


Continuous Improvement:
Refine and enhance products and processes by applying continuous improvement methodologies and key lean manufacturing principles to critical production areas.

Act as a representative of the company by engaging with customers and assisting with both internal and external audits. May serve as the primary contact during audits.

Develop and coordinate corrective action procedures and plans.

Communicate and educate the Value Stream Team on specialized knowledge of quality functions, including Production Approval Process (PPAP), Advanced Product Quality Process (APQP), and document control.

Conduct quality-related visits and interactions with customers and vendors as necessary.

Maintain professional and technical expertise by participating in educational workshops, reviewing relevant publications, establishing industry networks, benchmarking best practices, and engaging with professional associations.


Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree (BS) in Engineering or a related field.

2. Proven ability to perform essential job functions typically acquired through two or more years of relevant experience.

3. American Society for Quality certification is preferred.

4. Comprehensive knowledge of modern inspection and quality engineering/assurance techniques, procedures, instruments, equipment, theories, principles, and concepts, along with general business operations.

5. Ability to effectively assess and implement continuous improvement techniques within quality and manufacturing functions.

6. Proficiency in utilizing standard business tools and methodologies.
