Position Overview
The Production Assembler is tasked with the fabrication of component parts or the assembly of the final product in alignment with customer requirements. This role involves securing and managing the appropriate components and supplies necessary for efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare the work area for assembly tasks
- Assemble parts in accordance with specified guidelines and quality benchmarks
- Utilize machinery and tools effectively to complete the assembly process
- Minimize and manage the waste of raw materials
- Conduct inspections to ensure adherence to quality standards
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized workspace, ensuring equipment is safe for use
- Complete pre-shift equipment inspections and report any issues
- Keep the work environment orderly and clean
- Perform basic Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) on equipment and complete necessary documentation
- Document production activities as required
- Adhere to established safety and quality protocols, procedures, and standards
- Engage in safety, continuous improvement, and other relevant programs and meetings
- Carry out additional tasks as assigned
- High school diploma or GED preferred, but not mandatory
- A minimum of 6 months experience in assembling components or specialized products is required; 1 year or more is preferred
- Basic mathematical skills are necessary
- Certification in relevant areas, such as welding, may be beneficial
- Must be at least 18 years old
