Role Overview:
The Culinary Operations Supervisor will act as the culinary and operational authority within the designated region, overseeing all facets of culinary production, procurement, sustainability, and program innovation while facilitating the launch of new locations within our Business Dining Services division.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enhance existing programs and develop new concepts to ensure exceptional food service quality.
- Review, recommend, and standardize pricing, products, and budget allocations related to food procurement.
- Assist in formulating short- and long-term financial objectives aligned with purchasing goals.
- Engage in meal preparation and product verification to ensure quality and consistency.
- Monitor and project food purchasing expenditures to meet company targets on a quarterly and annual basis.
- Collaborate with the executive team to devise operational strategies.
- Lead and inspire a motivated team through effective communication, empowerment, and coaching.
- Manage client relationships to uphold satisfaction and retention.
- Participate in strategic planning and oversee initiatives.
- Evaluate unit manager performance and provide guidance or recognition as needed.
- Foster a culture of collaboration and open communication with unit managers.
- Establish and track meaningful metrics to assess operational and leadership effectiveness.
- Oversee high-profile client catering events.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and other federal and state guidelines.
- Implement corrective action plans to address departmental challenges.
- Coordinate responsibilities across departments and units.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

This role is integral to our Operations Support Team, responsible for performance management and recruitment within the culinary department of newly established or transitioning locations.
Work Environment:
This position operates in a kitchen setting, where employees may encounter and utilize equipment such as ovens, stoves, dishwashers, and other culinary tools. The role also involves working in an office environment with standard office equipment.
Physical Requirements:
Employees may need to sit, reach, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, and lift items weighing up to 50 pounds. The position requires standing for extended periods and involves manual dexterity, auditory and visual skills, and the ability to follow instructions.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Culinary school certificate or degree, or equivalent experience
- 5 years of culinary experience
Preferred:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Eligibility:
ServSafe Certification is required.
