We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Veterinary Technician to join our team at the Denver Dumb Friends League. As a key member of our veterinary hospital team, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality care to animals in need.
Responsibilities- Monitor and ensure proper care and treatment of animals, including follow-up care and services.
- Provide exceptional customer service to all patrons, ensuring a smooth and timely flow of office calls from check-in to discharge.
- Accurately review discharge patient instructions with clients and distribute educational materials as recommended by the veterinarian.
- Collect and process laboratory samples, take and process radiographs, and medicate, vaccinate, and treat animals as prescribed by the veterinarian.
- Assist veterinarians in surgical and medical procedures, including dentistry, and utilize proper animal handling and restraint.
- Perform medical and surgical patron call-backs, fill client prescriptions, and maintain drug logs as required.
- Clean and maintain work areas, list needed inventory items, and stock all areas of the hospital as needed.
- Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor in challenging situations and contribute to initiatives to improve processes and procedures.
- Associate's degree in veterinary technology or equivalent experience.
- Completion of a veterinary technician internship or comparable experience and working knowledge of current veterinary practices.
- Veterinary Technician licensure through the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies.

Compensation: Starting at $27.85 per hour, commensurate with market, experience, and equity.
Work EnvironmentOur veterinary hospital is located in the heart of Denver, and we offer a dynamic and supportive work environment. As a Registered Veterinary Technician, you will be exposed to a variety of animals, including those with special needs, and will have the opportunity to work with a talented team of veterinarians and support staff.
Please note that this position may require travel to different work sites.
