We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Operations Manager to join our team at Symbotic. As a key member of our Customer Operations organization, you will be responsible for leading the daily activities of the Maintenance Department in the areas of Safety, Quality, and Maintenance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, Symbotic, and customer safety processes and procedures.
  • Conduct safety training and perform safety observations.
  • Execute Symbotic's maintenance program through training, accountability, and delegation to maintenance technicians and leads.
  • Supervise maintenance technicians and leads, including assigning work and determining work schedules.
  • Coach maintenance employees on professional development and performance improvement.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce downtime on production equipment and implement measures to achieve this goal.
  • Coordinate initiatives to reduce operating costs and improve efficiency.
  • Plan, schedule, and monitor the timely completion of maintenance work orders.
  • Deploy industry-standard continuous improvement and operational excellence practices, including root cause corrective action programs.
  • Communicate with vendors and subcontractors to achieve desired results.
  • Purchase materials, parts, and supplies as required to maintain proper inventory levels.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate maintenance records and other paperwork.
  • Coach team members on troubleshooting and problem-solving techniques.
  • Maintain work areas to plant standards of housekeeping and adhere to 5S policies.
Requirements
  • Associate degree or equivalent experience/certification in electronics, automotive, automation, manufacturing, or a related field.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar position.
  • Progressive coaching and counseling concepts to provide continuous feedback on performance.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and visual presentation communication skills.
  • Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) experience, preferably Maximo.
  • Proficiency in performing all Preventive Maintenance Inspection functions, including cleaning, lubrication, tolerance checking, current measurements, and checking electrical systems.
  • Strong electro-mechanical skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • A high sense of urgency and ability to take critical feedback and recognition positively.
  • Team player with knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
Work Environment

The Maintenance Operations Manager will work in a fast-paced environment with steep stairs to climb into the structure. The role requires frequent walking, standing, and reaching with hands and arms. The employee must be capable of working in temperatures ranging from 105° to 32° Fahrenheit and be willing to work at heights of up to 45 feet and within restrictive areas of 24 inches.

Compensation

The base range for this position is $90,000 - $125,000, depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The compensation package includes medical, dental, vision, disability, 401K, PTO, and other benefits.
