We are seeking a highly skilled Music Educator/Therapist to join our team at The Arc Erie County New York. As a Music Educator/Therapist, you will be responsible for providing music education to students with developmental disabilities in a supportive and inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement individual and group music education programs that cater to the diverse needs of our students.
- Provide weekly music experiences that promote music appreciation and enjoyment, while aligning with specific Individualized Education Plan (IEP) objectives.
- Communicate effectively with parents and colleagues to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to meeting each student's needs.
- Prepare and maintain accurate records, as required by law and agency policies.
- Participate in in-service training and committee meetings to stay updated on best practices and research in music education and therapy.
- Bachelor's degree in Music and Permanent or Initial New York State Certification in Music.
- OR Master's degree and Permanent or Professional/Initial New York State Certification.
